Enjoy scrambling in Madrid and experience the stunning natural Spanish scenery.
The Sierra de Guadarrama is a mountain range that is connected to the main Sistema Central, which runs along the central region of the Iberian Peninsula.
The slightly arched range runs from the southwest to the northeast, which at the heart lies in the autonomous community of Madrid.
We will hike up the curious La Pedriza, which features a field of natural boulders, and is one of Europe’s largest granite ranges. It is also home to an abundance of peaks, streams, meadows and cliffs.
Or, we can conquer Penalara, the highest peak in the entire mountain range of the Sierra de Guadarrama. Reaching a height of 2,428 meters, we can enjoy superb mountain panoramas from the top.
Along the journey you’ll discover the best scrambling routes, crags and ridges in the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park.
An activity that lies between hiking, hillwalking and gentle rock climbing, it is one of the most accessible ways to enjoy nature.
For this program, it is important to have some prior hiking experience. Also, participants must be aged 14 years old or over.
