Sawtooth Ridge, Sierra Nevada, 5 Day Splitboarding

Sawtooth Ridge is a breathtaking area in the eastern Sierra Nevada mountains, and for 5 days I would like to guide you through over 40 kilometres of it.

Each day of this trip will  provide you with an opportunity to experience a different part of the Sawtooth Ridge. And by the end of the 5 days, you will have had the chance to enjoy everything from remote chutes and exciting descents, to beautiful backcountry terrain and even glaciers.

On the first day, we will visit the thrilling Little Slide Canyon, which is full of wonderful couloirs, before setting up camp for the night. On the following day, we will venture into the famous Yosemite national park, where we will set up yet another campsite and visit the Finger Peak couloirs. For day 3, after setting up another campsite below the Sawtooth Ridge, we will make our way to and enjoy the west face of the Dragtooth and the Polemonium couloir. On the fourth day, we will climb the Whorl mountain (3,668m), where you can enjoy some great splitboarding runs. And finally, on the last day, you will get to cap off this amazing trip with a thrilling 1,200 metre descent!

There are a number of additional descents you can enjoy throughout this trip as well, including the Cleaver, the chutes of the Matterhorn peak (3,743m), and the Irie Chute.

Sawtooth Ridge is full of excitement. However, it can also be challenging. As a result, participants should be in good physical condition, and be able to splitboard at an advanced level with some previous experience in a backcountry environment.
