During this 7-day sandstone climbing tour, we will visit all the best sandstone areas in the Czech Republic, including Adrspach, Czech Paradise and Czech Saxony.

I am a local mountain guide and will be happy to take you to some of my favorite spots. Some of these places are among the best sandstone climbing spots in the world. And you’ll get to visit them all in one week!

You need to have some sport climbing experience to take this course. Here in the Czech Republic, the approach to climbing is very traditional, so you need to have at least some basic climbing skills to be able to enjoy and profit from this tour.

You will learn how to use sling knots and how to belay from a ring and from the top of the tower. We will also cover some basic and advanced climbing techniques: crack climbing, slab, chimney and no-fall climbing, among others.

We’ll meet in Prague on Saturday to sample Czech beer and to have an informal talk about the program. On Sunday, the sandstone climbing tour begins. We’ll explore several climbing spots until Friday. On the next day, we’ll return to Prague for some sightseeing.

In addition to the specific physical demands of sandstone climbing, it's also important to be in good overall shape, this means doing cardio exercise regularly, eating a healthy diet and getting enough sleep.

What is the guide-to-client ratio?

There will be one guide for every 6 participants. However, I can also accommodate groups larger than 6 people with the help of an additional guide. Just let me know!
