Description

Saas Fee is a spectacular place for anybody interested in mountaineering. Located in the Valais canton of Switzerland, there are a number of amazing peaks to climb. Some of those peaks include the Weissmies (4,017m), the Nadelhorn (4,327m), Lenzspitze (4,294m), and the Alphubel (4,206m), which we will be climbing on this trip.

Over the course of 2 days, we will scale Alphubel. The mountain is a stunning peak that rests between Saas Fee and Zermatt. The summit is mostly covered in ice. As a result, the climb will have some tough spots, so some mountaineering experience is necessary. However, the challenge will be offset by the sheer beauty of the climb itself, as well as the magnificent view you will get from the summit.

There is so much to see from the top of Alphubel. Not only will you get to view Saas Fee, Zermatt, and all of the surrounding peaks of the Pennine Alps. You will also get to see the Dom glacier and the Fee glacier as well.

Alphubel is just one of the many highlights that can be found near Saas Fee. However, I can assure you that this peak is more than worth the 2 days needed to climb it. So if you would like to scale this wonderful mountain, and admire the canton of Valais from its summit, send me a message, and let’s make it happen.

Peter

This was a great trip and Explore Share made finding the right trip super easy. Our guide was personable, extremely knowledgeable, and experienced and willing to teach us the skills we would have needed to climb the Matterhorn. Unfortunatly, the conditions were not right to climb so our guide recemmended another trip which was still a great experience and lots of fun.

Very user friendly platform with timely responses from Explore Share representatives. The trip itself with Tom from Alps Adventures was awesome and ensure that we had an experience that was 100% what we wanted. Recommend both the platform and the guide. Thanks to all for arranging and delivering so well.

I had am amazing time during the 1-day off-piste training course at Hoch-Ybrig. Urs, our main mountain guide, was very helpful in answering my queries before the course, and Lupe from explore-share was helpful in selecting the course. We had 3 groups under Urs, Mario and Patrick, and I was in the group with Patrick. He gave us a lot of nice tips and individualized video analysis. He made a special effort to convey everything in English, since I don't know German. All the participants were very helpful and friendly too! The course is good value for money as skis are included for the weekend in the course price.
