Situated about 40km from the Chilean border, this stunning town lies in the northwest of Argentina’s famous Patagonia region.

There is a great variety of climbing options available at short distance from the town. There is the wonderful area of Frey, mountain peaks like Cerro Lopez or Cerro Bella Vista and we could even venture to the well loved and beautiful El Bolson!

I learnt to climb in Bariloche when I was a child and had my first lessons in my local school. Being from the area, it gives me enormous pleasure to provide climbing trips here as I know all of Bariloche’s secrets!

The orange granite of the area is renowned throughout Argentina and also the world. There are wonderful fissures and other contortions that the rock has taken over the millenia and that create perfect rock climbing surfaces.

With such a vast and diverse area we have a great variety of different difficulty levels and graded climbs.

Sport climbing and multipitches are available, and if we decide to head east out of the city, it becomes dry and dessert like, providing us with another distinct option!

I organise my trips with great flexibility so that the routes and locations can be changed depending on weather conditions and on your preferences.
