Rock climbing training for advanced climbers

If you are experienced in rock climbing but you want to upgrade your status to expert, this is the course for you. We will spend 3 days in the insides of the Austrian Alps learning and putting into practice every secret of this amazing mountain sport.

The ideal participants are sport climbers looking to gain further experience if the nature. And to know more about multi-pitch climbs.

After you have completed the 3-day training, you will consider yourself as a proper Alpine climber.

As every rock climbing course, this one will also make focus again on how to safely lead climbs.

Of course, we will revise the principles of scrambling and Via Ferrata.

Other topics we will develop are how to keep routes safe by placing specific equipment. You will resort to this only when there are not enough bolts on the rocks.

In addition, we will focus on the choice of adequate climbing tours. And also, you will acquire more knowledge about the weather in the Alps.

More importantly, you will learn more rescue techniques to apply on rock.

I will be your guide and my task is going to be to plan the tours. However, whenever possible, the participants themselves will lead.

In that case, I will act as advisor and provide tips regarding safety and on how to improve your leading skills.

We will use the surrounding area of the Stripsenjoch Hut in the Wilder Kaiser as our main location. The place provides everything we may need during the rock climbing course.

If there should be children or people not interested in the training, let me know. For them, I can organize challenging and fun hiking days.

The difficulty of the trip is not high. However, we ask you to comply with these requirements.

You should be able to walk for 5 to 7 hours a day. And, moreover, to be able to lead safely a Grade 4 climb.
