Rock Climbing near Sofia, Bulgaria

Bulgaria’s capital – Sofia, is a big colorful city with plenty of nearby rock climbing options. Within about an hour’s drive, you can reach a wide variety of locations, suitable for any time of year and for any level.

Join me on this unforgettable Rock Climbing day trip, based out of Sofia, to enjoy some stunning views and explore some of Bulgaria’s top spots.

The day’s activity will be adapted to your experience and preferences. Prior experience is not required. This program is suitable for first-time rock climbers as well as climbers with some experience that would like to go a step further.

We will choose the location depending on the weather forecast and time of year, but some of the more popular locations we can visit include Kominite at Vitosha Mountains or Vratsa Gorge, near the town of Vratsa.

We will meet up in the morning and drive to the climbing area. The day will include climbing several single-pitch or multi-pitch routes. We will get back to Sofia in the evening.
