Beautiful and vast, the Basque Mountains in Spain are a tremendous place to visit. They are also a great place to enjoy some unforgettable rock climbing, as there are a number of fantastic ridges to scale.
During this trip, which can last for one day or multiple days if you wish, I would like to guide you to the best ridges in the Basque Mountains. Some examples of the crests and ridges you can explore on this trip include the following.
Urrestei
Txindoki
Palomares
Pena Karria
Northeast edge of Anboto
Mugarra
Lekanda
Gokyo on Pasaia
Paso del Diablo on Alluitz
Each one of these ridges offer their own unique experiences and views. For example, the Urrestei ridge in the Atxarte Valley offers a thrilling and narrow final edge, while the Palomares Crest is a very long ridge that separates the Rioja Alavesa from the Alavesa Mountain in the Sierra de Cantabria. Needless to say, with such a wonderful variety, you will have no shortage of exciting climbing opportunities in the Basque Mountains.
To participate on this trip, you should have prior rock climbing experience in mountainous terrain. You should also be in good physical condition.
If you would like to join me on this incredible rock climbing trip, just send me a request. I would be glad to guide you on the best ridges in the Basque Mountains.
I can also take you rock climbing in the Pyrenees on this trip.

Mountain Guide
AEGM Mountain Guide from Spain
Passionate for mountains since I was a kid, at 14 I started climbing in Atxarte (Vizcaya) walls, thanks to some friends. Later I discovered other activities such as canyoning, skiing and ice climbing, which allowed me to enjoy mountains both in summer and in winter.
I travelled around Europe, USA, India, Peru, Marruecos, among others, with the excuse of climbing some peak, wall, or doing some canyoning.
I've been a member of the 'Young Alpinists Technification Team' of the Basque Mountain Federation, and after gaining experience in all mountain disciplines I left behind my job as electronic technician to become a guide in order to pass on my passion and knowledge to others.
