Footwear
What climbing equipment should I bring with me?
I supply all the gear. The only thing you need to bring are your rock climbing shoes.
What happens if the weather turns bad on the day of climbing?
I would suggest a different venue where the weather might be better. Another option will be to select another day according to your and my availability. If nothing works, and it is impossible to find a safe alternative, the tour will be cancelled, and you'll get a refund according to Explore-Share cancellation policy (See #7 here https://www.explore-share.com/terms/).
Does the tour include transportation? Do I need to go somewhere and from there we go to the rock?
The tour does not include transportation, but I can give you a lift based on where you stay.
How about the food? Do I bring my lunch?
Yes, you should bring food and water for the day.
Where are the climbing spots that we might go to?
Sintra, Cascais, Sesimbra and Arrábida (south of Lisbon, by the sea.) are some of the options where we might go. I'll select the spot based on your climbing wishes, your experience, where you'll be based and the weather.
How experienced do I need to be to book a guided climbing day tour with you?
All climbing skill levels are welcome. The program and the climbing routes will be defined based on your experience and your wishes. You may want to try outdoor climbing for the first time or push your limits on challenging climbing routes. Everything is possible!
What sort of climbing is possible?
Both sports and traditional climbing are possible. I’ll propose a program and climbing routes based on your experience and your wishes.
What’s included in the price?
My guiding service and the climbing gear are included. Please bring with you your rock climbing shoes.
How many climbers can you take with you?
I’ll take maximum 3 climbers with me to ensure the best and safest experience for everyone.
I'm alone. Is it possible to join a group?
Unfortunately not. I only propose private guided climbing tour.
Can I book you to go climbing for more than 1 day?
Yes! You can select the amount of days you want to go climbing. Having more days will allow us to discover different climbing crags (being flexible to go to each one when the conditions are better), work on specific objectives, improve and learn new techniques.

Traveled to Portugal last week to do some rock climbing. My guide, Luis, was excellent. We climbed west of Sesimbra the first day on the cape and the final two days in Sintra. Luis was excellent. The first day I said that I wanted to climb on walls adjacent to the ocean, which we did every day. He chose Routes that were fun, beautiful, and he felt appropriate for my skill level. At all times I felt safe and in good hands. I will definitely, hire Luis Next time I return to Portugal to Rock climb!

Luis was super experienced and it really showed in his ability to pick a range of routes that both got me comfortable climbing outdoor for the first time and challenged me to stretch my abilities. I met most of my goals for the day and was very happy!

If you want to spend nice day climbing, Luis is the right person to show you the best crags around Lisbon. I've given him some info on how long and what kind of routes I've been climbing and Luis suggested traveling to Cabo da Roca. Possibly the most magical place I've climbed so far, with view of deep blue ocean contrasting with the orange granite. Here he offered to take me for my first trad multi-pitch climb throughout which he taught me some tips on both gear and technique and cracked some jokes here and there. He was even so kind that he agreed us two to be accompanied by my girlfriend who's not a climber to spend the time on the beach with us and offered to pick us up with his car. All in all a great guy and guide who'll make sure you'll have a great time. I can only recommend booking a trip with him. Thanks again Luis!
