Description

A hidden paradise of rock climbing near the city of Calgary, the Ghost valley is a fantastic place to not only climb, but to explore as well.

Surrounded by the kind of natural wonder that people often associate with western Canada, the Ghost valley is amazing. And for 5 days, we would like to not just take you to a number of different, thrilling rock walls, but to also guide you as you explore this great place. We have no doubt that over the trip’s 5 days, you will get to see all that makes the region so famous, from its lakes and rivers to the wildlife, forests and, of course, the Canadian Rockies.

Beginning in Canmore, we will make our way into the Ghost valley. Once there, you will get to choose from a litany of smoke colored limestone walls that vary in shape, size and difficulty. There are single and multi-pitch routes, as well as bolted and trad routes. Thus ensuring that no matter what kind of climber you are, you will get to enjoy a memorable experience.

Some examples of the routes you can choose from include the following.

  • Bonanza, 5.8, 6 pitches

  • Macadamia, 5.9, 4 pitches

  • The Wraith, 5.10a, 8 pitches

  • Consolation, 5.8, 7 pitches

Furthermore, we will be camping in the wilderness. So you can also enjoy evening views of the stars above, as well as take in the music of the night sung by the area’s unseen population.

If exploring a hidden part of Canada’s vast natural landscape, while also climbing on a number of fantastic rock walls is something you want to do, this is the trip for you. To be a part of it, just send us a request. We look forward to guiding you.

We can also take you on a 3 day rock climbing adventure that will take you on walls in Banff, Lake Louise and Canmore.

Will was great wise and fun to spend the day with.

Phillip

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Lucie

All perfect

Amanda

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
