Rock climbing for kids in California

I have the honor to offer one of the best experiences I can live as a mountain guide: a full day dedicated to rock climbing for kids.

During this day, my team and I will teach children some basic techniques of climbing and safety. We will also encourage them to learn values such as teamwork, achieving goals, self-confidence and self-esteem. 

We have ideal places for classes of rock climbing for kids in California: the Castle Rock State Park and the Malibu Creek State Park. Both of them are designed specially for kids and surrounded by a natural environment that they will enjoy a lot.

My team and I will propose to them taking a previous guided walk in order to learn more about the flora and fauna of the area. We will also talk about the importance of respecting the natural habitat of all species. We’ll use that walk as a warm up before starting the real fun once the group is ready: rock climbing for kids! 

As their guides we will choose the best cliff according to the characteristics of the group:

• First of all, we will teach them some belaying and rope techniques.

• Then, children will have the opportunity of climbing a rocky wall applying what they have learned.

• Finally, they will enjoy a nice resting and relaxing time.

We will provide all the technical equipment: climbing shoes, helmets, harnesses, ropes and belay devices. All children have to bring is their own lunch, snacks and beverages, sun screen and a small backpack.
