Rock climbing day at La Bonati, near Lima

Only an hour drive east from Lima, there is an amazing rock climbing route you cannot miss: La Bonati. Join me on this day long adventure and discover this fantastic place in Peru.

La Bonati offers everything a rock climber could ask for. And it is ideal for different type of climbers because it only requires minimal experience.

Due to its 5+ grade, and its location at a 300 feet magnificent cliff, this traditional climbing route is a truly special place. It hosts great bolted belay stations along with superb spots ideal for whipping out and practicing with cams, friends and stoppers.

This rock climbing paradise is home to 3 marvellous pitches with excellent crack protection. The first pitch,  grade 4, is an easier ascent. So we can use it as a warm up. Then, the second pitch will take us to a higher spot. This grade 5 pitch has a block move section that is a lot of fun to ascend. Finally, the third pitch will be the perfect way to culminate our adventure. We’ll climb up a vertical 5+ crack, with several thrilling spots. And, we will get hypnotizing views of the whole area as we reach the summit of La Bonati. However, the fun does not stop there, as we will rappel our way down off the wall. Thus, you’ll get the chance to enjoy the best scenery as you descend, while also getting a good dosage of adrenaline.
