Description

Live an unforgettable adventure on this rock climbing and rappelling trip for beginners. Enjoy incredible views of the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, as you practice these amazing activities.

Near Madrid, there is a rock climbing paradise with endless rock climbing routes ideal for every type of climber. Thus, it welcomes everyone, even beginners.

This program is ideal for those who have never practiced these fantastic sports, and wish to learn about them. Furthermore, you will get to enjoy the most breathtaking sceneries. As our classrooms will be the mesmerizing peaks at the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park.

We’ll meet at the Pantano de Navalmedio in Cercedilla, Cantocochino at La Pedriza or Torrelodones. Thereupon, we’ll take a quick and pleasant hike, for about 15 to 20 minutes. Upon arrival, our lessons will begin.

After learning about the first notions of knots, and securing our gear, we will start our ascent. We’ll climb with the help of ropes over secured routes. So you’ll get to enjoy the magical sensation of feeling the rocks under your hands as you reach higher targets. Then, once we’ve practiced enough, we’ll get to learn about rappelling on a fixed rope. Hence, it will be a controlled descent.

The goals of this course will be to learn basic techniques and have a great time. And some of the contents we’ll go over include:

  • Proper use of the gear

  • Knots

  • Basic climbing techniques

What people are saying about Pedro

Raquel

Pedro was so knowledgeable about the area, and graciously answered all our questions, even those unrelated to the hike. He was very kind in picking us up from Madrid for a small fee. He also took a bunch of photos of my husband and I during the trek, which I really appreciated since those are our only pictures together from our trip to Spain. I'd definitely recommend Pedro to anyone traveling to Madrid and interested in experiencing nature outside the city.
