Description

Would you like to enjoy a rock climbing day in Italy? Then come with me on this program in Piemonte and choose among the varied options of Rocca la Meja.

Located in the Italian region of Piemonte, Rocca la Meja is a mountain that belongs to the Cottian Alps. With an elevation of 2,831 meters, it’s situated above Maira Valley, a beautiful alpine region in the province of Cuneo. Due to its great rocky terrain and its variety of routes, it’s a fantastic area to enjoy rock climbing.

The program will start from our office in Cuneo, from where we’ll drive to the Maira Valley or Vallone dell’Arma to get closer to the mountain. Then, we’ll begin our hike and pass through the gorgeous Passo della Gardetta, where we’ll be able to contemplate an amazing view. Once there, we’ll choose a route according to your level and preferences.

There are many options available for different types of participants on this mountain. Some of them will take us to the summit, which allows us to combine rock climbing with mountaineering. That’s why the level of difficulty will depend on the selected itinerary. In any case, it’s very important to have some prior rock climbing experience and a very good fitness level.

Are you ready for this program? Then please get in touch with me by sending your request and we’ll start making all the arrangements for this rock climbing adventure!

Another option could be this ice climbing program that I lead in the Varaita Valley. Check it out!

What people are saying about Andrea

Sophie

Exemplary is the word. Andrea's colleague Simone was my guide for this ascent. Andrea coordinated my solo expedition of Monte Argentera with only a few days notice. Conversation with Simone was easy and fascinating from the get-go. He tailored the expedition to suit me best: we moved at a faster pace and took time to meet the wild animals. He introduced me to harness-and-rope based mountain-climbing and created challenges within my limits - always acknowledged the small accomplishments which was very reassuring!. After the main ascent, Simone used his climbing expertise to reach a child who had fallen from a cliff and assisted in an air-ambulance secours. He took it all in his stride and his humility and heroism were exemplary. As my mountaineering debut, I've come away from the experience with confidence, trust and fascination - I would be thrilled to do another.
