Rila Mountains, Bulgaria, 3 Day Guided Hike

The Rila mountains in Bulgaria are a fantastic and beautiful mountain range. And on this 3 day hike I would like to guide you to the top of 2 of its best peaks. Those peaks are Musala (2,925m), which is the highest peak in the Rila range, as well as the entire Balkans, and Malyovitsa (2,729m). Along with those peaks, I would also like to guide you around the gorgeous seven lakes.

The trip will begin in the wonderful capital city of Sofia. From there, we will take an approximately 1.5 hour transfer to Borovets, which is a lovely resort town. Once there, we will take a gondola ride up to an altitude of 2,300 meters. After that, we will spend the day hiking up Musala. The views you will get to enjoy are amazing. After our descent, we will spend the night in a hotel in the town of Samokov.

The following day, we will take a 40 minutes transfer to Malyovitsa. We will hike for approximately 8 hours up and down the peak before returning to the hotel in Samokov.

On the final day of this trip, we will take a 40 minute transfer to Panichishte. From there we will take a scenic gondola ride up to an altitude of  2,100 meters. After that, we will hike for approximately 5 hours around the sensational seven lakes before transferring back to Sofia.

There are no technical aspects on this trip, so no previous experience is necessary. However, you should be in good physical condition to participate.
