Discover the beautiful world of West Texas and Big Bend National Park on a three day rafting program through Boquillas Canyon! This guided adventure gives you a first-hand look at the geology and geography that have made the Rio Grande and its surroundings a go-to destination for outdoor athletes and nature lovers alike!
Located at the border between the United States and Mexico, the Boquillas Canyon is a hotbed of rafting activity, thanks to the winding immensity of the Rio Grande. The river has sliced through the Sierra del Carmen Mountains for centuries, resulting in a gorge nearly 2,600 feet deep at some points. There are a few rapids and plenty of places to see local plants and animals.
This is where you come in! Your program is designed to give you an opportunity to take on gentle rapids over the course of three days, allowing plenty of opportunities to explore the surrounding canyon and its landscape. You can hike along the various side-sections of the canyon to admire the flora and fauna, on proud display throughout the 33-mile section of the Rio Grande.
We will leave early on the first day to guarantee ample time on the river. We will see hot springs, sand dunes, and steep cliffs as we cruise along. For the intrepid explorers among us, we will stop and hike through the most intriguing parts of the canyon. The water is predominantly gentle there is no worry of a wild ride.
All of your meals are covered, so you can focus on having a blast. Our focused passion and instruction is based around safety, so you can enjoy hiking, rafting, and getting to know the canyon without any distractions. Keep your eyes peeled for the Peregrine Falcon, one of the most exciting birds in the region.
The side canyons are accessible by hiking, so we can park our raft and hit the trails for an equally astounding journey through the canyon. Eroded cliffs and canyons will offer sweeping views of Big Bend National Park and Boquillas Canyon.
Over the course of your three days, you will see the Sierra del Carmen Mountains and their highest peak, El Pico (roughly 7,000 feet). You will also see the Chisos and the Rabbit Ears formation. From old mining areas to tree-shaded coves, you will have your heart filled with adventure from start to finish.
Our evenings will be spent camping by the river, looking out at the Texas night sky and counting the myriad stars above. After camp breakfasts in the morning, we will head off on our journey through the canyon, stopping at points of interest and learning about this incredible location.
Everyone is welcome to join this three-day adventure. Those with a passion for geology and geography are encouraged to join, and the calm rapids make this a perfect program for families and novice river rafters.

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
