Do you want to explore the Pyrenees in a unique and fun way? Bring your snowboard and join me on this 3-day heliboarding and splitouring traverse.
We will begin our snowboard or ski touring adventure in Val d’Aran, a beautiful valley in the Pyrenees. From there, we will board a helicopter that will take us across the peaks in the Pyrenees, and into the French side of the mountain range. After a whole day of amazing descents we will relax at the mountain refuge La Renclusa.
The next day, we will ascend Aneto (3.404m), the highest peak in the Pyrenees. Its summit is the perfect spot to admire the whole region. That night we will recover our energy at the gorgeous hotel Hospital de Benasque.
On the last day of our trip I will take you to Puerto Viejo, where we will begin our descent back to Val d’Aran.
If you prefer to have more ski touring or splitouring time, we can also arrange the tour so we skip the helicopter flight. In this case, we will depart from Benasque and make our way up to the mountains.
This program is an incredible chance to explore the Pyrenees and its surroundings. Aside from the Aneto ascent, and snowboarding down to Puerto Viejo, you will have the chance to visit the Natural Park of Posets-Maladeta. It is also the perfect way to ride across Catalunya until we reach the French side of the Pyrenees.
Please note that this trip is recommended for snowboarders and skiers with previous ski touring or splitouring experience. So if you want to join this incredible adventure, send me a message. I will make sure to accommodate your requests and desires.
If you are looking for something different, and you prefer rock climbing, check out this week of rock climbing in Catalonia.
We will depart from Val d’Aran. A helicopter will take us up to 2300 meters into the Pyrenees. We will do several runs and skin up to the mountain refuge La Renclusa where we spend the night.
We will ascend Aneto (3404m), from where we will snowboard down until we reach the hotel Hospital de Benasque. This Hotel was a former refuge that has been remodeled into a modern and beautiful hotel. The Hospital de Benasque is in the middle of the mountains, at the entrance of the Natural Park Posets-Maladeta.
Today we will go up to Puerto Viejo. Puerto Viejo is a former frontier pass that connects France and Spain. From here we will snowboard all the way down to Val d’Aran. The amazing descent will take us approximately 6 hours.

Mountain Guide
The story begins when your parents put you the skis when you are still wearing diapers, when you discover every summer the lakes of the Pyrenees, and after that you start going for the summits. When climbing and the feeling of freedom that comes with it gets you hooked, and there's nothing you can do about it.
It continues when you choose your career following the name: Technical Mountain Engineering, in Lleida, close to the Pyrenees, and you start working as a ski instructor during weekends. And year after year, trip after trip, run after run, you start getting together with young mountaineers, and closer to the formation as a mountain guide.
Expeditions, trips, some award and the constant formation and evolution are what built this long journey, which allows me to share the world that I love with others. And thanks to the works as a guide I can enjoy everything: the great moments that the mountain gave me, in the snow, rock or ice, and above all the moving feeling of realizing how small we are in the immensity of the summits.

Had a wonderful week with Miriam in the beautiful Catalonia! Miriam was a fantastic guide and was very good at keeping everything safe, fun and sufficiently challenging. I only had minor experience with rock climbing prior to this trip and by the end of it I felt comfortable being lead on multi-pitch routes. I was very impressed by the beauty and diversity of Catalonia. In just a few hours of driving could the whole landscape can change completely. A perfect place for trying different rock types and to just enjoy the spectacular views!

Miriam was a fantastic guide for me, and I felt completely safe with her. We had an amazing time climbing over two days, and she was patient, kind, and energetic. Go Miriam, keep climbing always! Also, Miriam is one of the few women guides in Spain, and I felt great about supporting her. Ladies - let's help each other continue to build our networks and businesses by investing in each other.

Miriam was the best guide I could have asked for. I did the 1 week Rock Climbing in Catalonia and had a fantastic time! Miriam is friendly, fun and supportive. She catered the trip to my abilities and I am so glad I went off the beaten track and decided to do this trip as I saw a beautiful side of Spain that I had never seen before. Thanks Miriam!
