Sprawling over 142 square kilometers, Pyhä-Luosto National Park is home to old-growth forests, modest mountains, and unique wetland habitats in northern Finland.
Combine this stunning scenery with the plentiful covering of high-quality powder that the region receives each winter and you have the perfect place for a beginner-level ski touring adventure.
Over the course of two days together, we will head to the Yrjölä hut and admire the scenery of the surrounding aapa bogs.
While the main attraction is the fun and informative skiing portion in which we cross through the old-growth forest – which is home to 400-year-old trees – and Arctic wilderness, staying at the hut is great as well. Please, keep in mind that this trip is not suitable for off-piste skiing.
We will get to try out an authentic Finnish sauna, which is always a great way to unwind after a long day of skiing and pulling the sled, which will have all of our personal and shared gear.
By the time all is said and done, you'll already be thinking about booking your next ski touring adventure!
So what are you waiting for? Book now for this fun, informative and scenic 2-day ski touring adventure in Pyhä-Luosto National Park, Finland!
If you like the look of this trip then we think you may also enjoy our 8-day e-Fatbike tour through the wild fell highlands of Finnish Lapland!

Great wilderness experience with Hannele and Claudia at Bliss Adventure in mid-January. Beautiful winter wilderness landscape and overnight stay in rustic but very comfortable log cabin. Remote and undisturbed but at the same time not too strenuous and appropriate for beginner/intermediate level skiers. Excellent organization and guiding. Highly recommended.
