The Presidential Range Traverse is the most challenging and popular mountaineering experience in the Northeast of the United States. Join me on this incredible adventure as we attempt to climb 9 summits!
This 3-day trip on the White Mountains in New Hampshire is reserved for adventurous mountaineers. Trail conditions along the way vary between deep snow and rocks covered in thin snow and ice. The weather is also harsh with low temperatures, strong winds, fog and whiteouts. Yet, the views along the way are breathtaking. We’ll get to admire the whole mountain range with views of New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and Canada.
The Presidential Range Traverse begins at the Appalachia Trailhead and ends at the Crawford Notch – Highland Center. We’ll spend this 20+ mile adventure attempting to reach 9 summits, including Mount Washington, Mount Madison, Mount Adams, Mount Jefferson, Mount Monroe, and others. During the nights, we’ll camp in sheltered areas.
This trip is recommended for people with prior mountaineering experience and in good physical condition. Experience with crampons, ice equipment and winter camping is a plus.
So book you trip now and get ready to be part of the elite few to accomplish this incredible adventure. The White Mountains are calling!
