A great climbing day on a beautiful ridge, at the boarder between France and Switzerland, facing the Mont Blanc range, above Lac d'Emosson, together with Maxime, Swiss IFMGA mountain guide.

Switzerland on one side, France on the other side…it’s on this ridge and border that I propose to guide you on Les Perrons de Vallorcine for an awesome mountaineering and rock climbing traverse day!
I particularly enjoy this traverse because…
it’s a mixed mountaineering course with some climbing, abseiling and hiking;
of the landscapes and the breathtaking views on the Mont Blanc range;
of its safety characteristic : no glacier, good rock and the way back is done on a trail.
This mountaineering adventure starts at the dam of Emosson in Valais in Switzerland.
As from the start of the climb, we must be concentrated to pass some first easy rock climbing paths. Once on the ridge, the level is not really difficult but the void is present and the way through the different needles requires us to alternate rock climbing and abseiling.
Les Perrons de Vallorcine include the following : Grand Perron 2674m, Pointe Vouilloz 2672m, Pointe de l’Ifala 2651m, Pain de Sucre 2646m and Aiguilles du Van 2578m.
From the summit, the start of the descent is steep and then slowly flat. We will pass by some beautiful lakes from where we will be able to look up at the ascent we did during the day. We will then reach our starting point hiking on an awesome trail.
Please get in touch with me if you come in the Valais next summer and if you want to experience a great day in the mountains. It will be my pleasure to guide your there. I of course organize other mountaineering and climbing courses, in the Valais but also all around the Alps, contact me and let’s discuss about your wishes.

Mountain Guide
From the beautiful Valais summits to Greenland, I have learned to know and respect the mountain. This passion, which took more and more importance in my life, has become my profession. In addition to my physical geography studies at the Lausanne University, in 2007 I started the course as an aspiring guide. I obtained my mountain guide certificate in 2009.
