Standing at the heart of the state of Rio de Janeiro is the stunning Serra dos Órgãos mountain range.
The breathtaking rock formations resemble giant organ tubes that are used in churches, caused by heavy erosion. Hence the name being translated as the Organ Range.
These dramatic natural features are all protected within the Serra dos Órgãos National Park, the third of its kind in Brazil that was created in 1939.
The nearest city is Teresópolis, the springboard into the wild landscapes. We begin our trek here after being transferred from Rio de Janeiro.
Our prized target is the highest point of the mountain range, Pedra do Sino, which measures 2,275 meters above sea level.
Exploring the trails that cut through lush vegetation of the Atlantic Forest and striking rock formations.
The climate is tropical and humid which cultivates a rich collection of vegetation. Within the 26,000-acre park there are more than 2,800 plant species.
In the early morning of day two, we will witness one of the most spectacular sunrises available on Earth.
Get in touch now to reserve your place on the majestic mountain range of Serra dos Órgãos just to the north of Rio de Janeiro during a 2-day trek to the peak of Pedra do Sino.
After a hotel pick-up in Rio de Janeiro, we make our way to Teresópolis, the gateway to the Serra dos Órgãos National Park. We will walk by the lower part of the park until entering the trail. During the ascent we cross two waterfalls where the highlight is the Veil of the Bride of Teresópolis. Upon arriving at Shelter 4 we will set up our camping for overnight. We can go to Pedra do Sino Peak to enjoy a great sunset or rest. Hiking distance: 14km.
We will wake up early for a nocturnal stroll to the summit of Pedra do Sino to enjoy the beautiful sunrise with views of Rio de Janeiro, Guanabara Bay and Tijuca Forest. The morning will be free to enjoy the camping and explore the surrounding area. Pico do Papudo, for example, is a good alternative option. Then, we will leave camp and return to Teresópolis. Hiking distance: 13 km.

The year 2010 marked the beginning of a journey of creation of Nattrip, our company. Accessibility to ecotourism and adventure tourism was restricted, especially in Rio de Janeiro. There were still severe restrictions of public use to the existing Conservation Units, which went some way against what the world was experiencing. While other countries created policies to increase protected area visitation in an attempt to increase preservation, using the “understand to protect” approach, Brazil believed that prohibiting access was the best way to protect.
Thanks to the work of some conservation, tourism and sports entities, as well as some spheres of public power, this premise has gradually changed, giving space to a greater offer of experiences in the natural environment.
We understand that people, whether tourists or residents, needed tours and specialized services to practice the activities that these places provide. This is to promote a healthy life and generate environmental knowledge by insertion into the environment, creating a basis for environmental sustainability, responsibility, mutual conviviality, and protection.
That’s when we decided to create a company specialized in the eco-adventure segment, which could promote the sector with responsibility. A way of entertainment that creates environmental education by osmosis. However, the mission of Nattrip was beyond just being a company that provides nature and adventure tours.
We design the company’s performance in all aspects of tourism in Brazil, aiming to be a company of national reference, which can translate into quality assurance. Today Nattrip is one of the main agencies and operators of receptive tourism in Rio de Janeiro, a respected adventure operator in Brazil and has been showing all its power in the corporate, educational and travel segments.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
