Get away from the daily routine for a fantastic day-adventure on Owls Head Mountain. Located on the Long Lake area of New York, this 6.2-mile path is perfect to enjoy the wonders of the Adirondack region. Join me on this beautiful hike.
Owls Head Mountain receives its name due to its four summits, know as horns. Its tallest peak reaches an elevation of 2,812 feet. The top has a restored fire tower that is open to the public . The whole path offers incredible views from the cliffs you don't want to miss.
Make sure to bring hiking boots, micro spikes (for possible icy trails), waterproof top and bottom, comfortable and warm clothing, lightweight thermal top and bottom, and a warm hat and gloves. Please do not bring clothing made out of cotton. In addition, bring a backpack with an extra pair of socks and t-shirt, lunch and snacks, one liter of water, sunscreen, personal medication, sun hat and sun glasses. If you are not sure how to prepare for this hike, I am happy to help you.
Book your trip now and start savoring your getaway from the hustle and bustle. You'll love this perfect scenery.
I also offer other hikes in New York state. Be sure to check out the ones I offer to Kaaterskill High Peak, St. Regis Mountain and others for more options.
