Beyond the ski resorts of Oregon there is a large expanse of terrain with virgin snow to explore. Most of the backcountry spots are accessible for a day trip. On this excursion, you can choose between Mount Hood or Three Sisters. They both offer top-quality snow and slopes for all levels.

Mount Hood (3,429 m), near Portland, offers spectacular panoramic views and a vast terrain for backcountry snowboarding. We can ride, for example, the Tilly Jane Trail, on the northeast side of the mountain, which is perfect for beginners. Otherwise, if you are an expert, we can try the West Crater Rima, a stunning vertical drop from the summit ridge of the mountain.

The Three Sisters are three volcanic peaks offering a huge terrain for backcountry snowboarding. Exploring this huge area and some of its open bowls, forests and steep slopes is also an option.
