What level of fitness should I have to embark on this off-piste skiing trip?
Off-piste skiing in Serre Chevalier, like any other off-piste area, requires a higher level of fitness and skiing skills compared to skiing within designated resort slopes. The terrain can be more challenging, and the conditions may vary significantly. Good cardiovascular endurance is essential, as well as a strong core to help you maintain balance and stability.
How much experience in skiing is required?
You should be an advanced skier with confidence in your ability to ski on various types of snow conditions. Familiarity with different types of snow and techniques for skiing in powder will be beneficial. Off-piste terrain may have trees, rocks, and other obstacles, so you should be confident in your ability to navigate safely through such terrain.
Where will we meet at the start of the trip?
We'll meet at 8:45 am at the base station of the Bachas Chairlift in Monêtier-les-Bains.

Mountain Guide
I have a Masters in Geology and I am an IFMGA Mountain Guide. Skiing and climbing are my greatest passions. Also, travelling has become a great fascination of mine. What I love most about it is how it always opens up new horizons and possibilities. I love going to different parts of the world, meet new friends, my ski equipment and climbing shoes always ready to go.
Even if I have been climbing and skiing for more than 20 years, I have several pending projects in mind. At the top of my list are: climbing the Cordillera Real in Bolivia, going to the Parinacota volcano in Chile for some amazing ski mountaineering, and going again on a ski road trip through the Andes.
Skiing and climbing challenges never end! Have a look at my different tours. I hope to have you as a guest in one of them soon.
