Description

I invite you to an exciting ski touring course in Norway, learning how to ski safely in the wild mountains, far away from the crowds.

This is an ideal opportunity for skiers with wide experience riding on piste and off piste in ski resorts.

We’ll be ski touring in different areas of Norway, such as Sunnmøre, Sogn, Hemsedal, West Jonunheimen and Haukeli.

I am professional IFMGA mountain guide and will be helping you to develop a solid experience in ski touring. This includes knowing how to manage at avalanche risk, improving your technique, learning pre-planning methods and how to rescue someone from an avalanche.

Besides, I’ll give you all the information regarding equipment, clothes and devices you’ll need for ski touring.

There’ll be classes with slideshows first, and then we’ll go to the mountain! In fact, there are many ski tours in the program, so that you can practice everything you learn.

Furthermore, this course will take place in an outstanding mountain region of Norway, surrounded by beautiful peaks. This unique natural environment will turn your trip into an unforgettable experience.

Mountain Guide

I am a fully certified IFMGA guide since 2012. I have, however, mastered my climbing and skiing skills for many years before taking up guiding. I have participated in numerous climbing expeditions not only to the wild mountains of Caucasus (which I have gotten to know pretty well), but also to Nepal, Alps and have extensively climbed in many Norwegian areas. In recent years I have been resident in Norway, and I co-operate with my friends at Lyngen Outdoor Center as their chief mountain guide.

George

Fantastic trip. Guide was experienced and friendly. He took us to some amazing sites where we learned the basics of ice climbing and using crampons as well as using ice axis to climb and be safe on the mountain. We did a snow hike up Gaustatoppen which was an environment we’ve never been too and was an incredible experience. Wish we could have stayed longer! Trip was weather dependent as with anything but that didn’t take away a huge amount of things to do. Rjukan is a wonderful town with gorgeous scenery. Huge thank you to Pawel for this experience!

Pawel was a fantastic guide, I couldn’t have hoped for anything better for my first trip ice climbing. In particular I was very impressed with his ability to make sure that I was always challenged but never entirely out of my depth and his coaching helped me to develop without overloading me with information.

Greg

The most fantastic day with the most helpful, skilled and friendly guide and instructor! We had a really wonderful and exciting day, learned a great deal and enjoyed the truly spectacular scenery. Pawel was extraordinarily supportive, patient and impressive in his sharing of knowledge and for making it a great day all around. Big thanks and we look forward to the next time!

Peter

We were 3 guys heading out for our first time iceclimbling, and it was one of the best trip either of us had ever been on. Friendly and attentive guide, who clearly focused on our needs. We felt very safe throughout and our only regret is that we didn't have more days. Big thanks to Pawel for being a terrific guide.
