Description

Go hiking in Sardinia on a unique New Year adventure and start the year off on the right foot with all the inspiration that you need to move forward!

On this exciting end-of-the-year adventure, we will enjoy 5 days of excursions along the paths of Ogliastra, departing from Santa Maria Navarrese, where we will spend the nights in a B&B apartment.

Throughout the week, we will explore coastal routes along some stretches of the famous “Selvaggio Blu” trek and incredible canyons between vertical walls, caves, and waterfalls. Additionally, adrenaline lovers will have the chance to embark on a day of abseiling in the Grotta del Fico with a UIAGM certified mountain guide. All of these amazing adventures will be capped with an unforgettable New Year celebration that will include a delicious typical Sardinian dinner with local wines.

To join, you must have some prior hiking experience and a good fitness level. But most of all, you need a great sense of adventure and the willingness to have a lot of fun! We will be there to help you, to guide you, and to share with you.

Itinerary

Day 1: Gorges of Gorropu

Meeting with the Guide in an agreed place. Excursion to the Gorges of Gorropu, a canyon to start the adventure!

Accommodation in B&B.

Day 2: Punta Salinas and Cala Goloritzé

Breakfast at the B&B, transfer by car to the start of Punta Salinas & Cala Goloritzé excursion.

Day 3: Punta Giradili

Breakfast at the B&B. Excursion to Punta Giradili.

Alternatively, we can enjoy a day of pure adrenaline descending Grotta del Fico.

Day 4: New Year's Eve

Breakfast at the B&B. Excursion to Cala Modaloru / Surtana and the Village of Tiscali. New Year’s Eve dinner in a characteristic atmosphere, with typical local food and wine.

Day 5: Rock climbing or hiking

Breakfast in the B&B. Free time and for those who will still have the energy, we will do a climbing test in Pedra Longa and/or a short hike.

Return and end of services.

Mountain Leader

My name is Micol Casaleggio, I am a geologist, and I have always been a sportswoman, from horse riding to climbing. In 2019 I became a Mountain Leader (Accompagnatore di Media Montagna) and I joined the Società Guide Alpine Finale team, precisely as a trekking guide.

My goal has always been to work with something that I really like, something that when I come home makes me think I'm happy!

I would like to share the importance and beauty of nature in the mountains as its spokesperson ... I love everything that is nature and exploration, I love hiking because it is freedom!

In parallel to the work that I carry out with satisfaction within the S.G.A.F. I decided to start my own business in which to propose exclusively my accompanied excursions in the mountains, but not only, in fact I offer hiking activities on the Riviera, river trekking, mountain biking, activities with the Pink Mountain project ...

My starting point is Finale Ligure, then ranging throughout Liguria, from the Apennines to my beloved Ligurian Alps, the Maritime Alps, Piedmont, Val d'Aosta, Sardinia and wherever the adventure will lead me ...

I am Trekking Different because trekking is not just walking, but it is the beginning of a path in harmony with nature, it is a way of being of which we must savour the awareness step by step. Of "trekking" we must know the technique and its secrets, remembering that we never challenge nature, but we walk its paths and its mountains to know ourselves.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
