Description

Nanga Parbat is one of the world's highest mountains, and set in a remote and awe-inspiring location in Pakistan. Join this amazing Nanga Parbat Base Camp Trek with Mazeno Pass variant and enjoy the mountaineering adventure of a lifetime!

At 8,126 m (26,660 ft), Nanga Parbat is the ninth highest mountain in the world, famous for its impressive Rupal Face, which is the highest mountain face in the world. Its Sanskrit name translates to "Naked Mountain" and climbing to the summit is so difficult and dangerous, that it has been nicknamed "Killer Mountain".  However, the Nanga Parbat base camp trek, which takes you to an altitude of 3,850 m (12,631 ft.), is a great way to discover this majestic peak safely (although difficult none the less). On this program, we will trek to the base camp and then over the Mazeno Pass at 5,377 m (17,641 ft.).

We will set off from Islamabad and drive down the famous Karakoram Highway to Chilas. From there, the following day, we will take a jeep to our trailhead at Trashing, which is 30km away from Astore and the start of the Rupal Valley. On the first stretch of our trek, we will explore the east face of Nanga Parbat until we reach its amazing ice wall. Then we will cross the Bazin Glacier until we arrive at Shaigiri, where we will enjoy stunning views of the south face. The next stretch of our adventure will involve crossing the Mazeno Pass, which will require technical mountaineering skills. Finally, we will explore the Loiba Meadows, head to Kachal and the Diamer Base Camp before returning.

On route, we will have the chance to explore glaciers, beautiful valleys, local villages, and sleep under deep starry night skies. Of course, we will spend many hours trekking and on some stretches, we will need to use crampons and do rope work. Therefore, it is important that you have a good fitness level and that you have technical mountaineering skills to join this trek. We will be there every step of the way to help and guide you.

So, are you ready for an unforgettable Nanga Parbat Base Camp Trek? Then contact us now and let's start planning this exciting adventure together!

What people are saying about this trip

Mikael

After meeting with the guide the trip was changed on there recommendation so we didn't do nanga parbat base camp trek. Instead we did Shimshal Pass trek. Which was a great experience, even though I struggled a bit with sickness during the trip both the guide and the porters were always friendly and helpful. All in all it was a great experience!!
