Description

When it comes to great slopes and backcountry spots in Japan, the areas around Nagano and Niigata can’t be beat. And for a full day, I would like to guide you for a thrilling splitboarding adventure that you will remember long after you’ve departed.

Due to the size of the Nagano and Niigata areas, there are plenty of different options as to where you can splitboard. As a result, we will organise the perfect itinerary for you based on several factors, including your skill level, the kind of experience you wish to have, and weather conditions.

Some examples of where we can go include some personal favourites of mine. There is Myoko, which is close to the Japan sea. Hence ensuring there will be plenty of fresh snow. There is also the Hokushin area, which is full of beautiful mountains that you can admire and explore. In both of these areas there are several routes, including Myoko-san, Kurohime-yama and Mount Nabekura-yama.

I am also very fond of the Hakuba and Itoigawa areas, which have several routes to choose from, including the Goryu backcountry, the Tsugaike backcountry and the Happo-one backcountry.

In order to participate in this trip, you should have some prior backcountry splitboarding experience. You should also be in good enough physical condition to walk from 2 to 5 hours.

Do you want to enjoy some great splitboarding in Japan? Then look no further than the Nagano and Niigata areas. All you have to do to enjoy a full day in these wonderful areas is send a request. It would be my pleasure to guide you.
