Boundless wild beauty stretches across the rocky US state of Colorado, featuring the Rifle Mountain Park.
The imposing limestone canyon offers quality climbs with more than 400 routes varying from beginner to advanced.
Outdoor adventurers make their way to the rugged Colorado wilderness in search of world-class rock climbing.
Famed for its single-pitch routes, we have now developed a fresh multi-pitch adventure called The Journey.
Featuring 3 small pitches stretching across 150 feet north, the ascent ends on a small buttress which is separated from the canyon rim.
It is not particularly very technical so that the majority of climbers will be able to make the ascent.
Once you reach the summit sublime panoramas await you with the rich and rugged mountainside, sharp cliffs and green blankets of forest.
A beautiful clear creek winds through the canyon populated with trout. While the wildlife is abundant, with the chipmunk, deer, wild turkey and ground hog home to the park.

Rock Guide
I have climbed extensively throughout North America since 1997 and have been involved in instructing and guiding climbers since 1999. With notable ascents of famed rock climbs like El Cap and over 250 first ascents in Colorado and Utah, I have made climbing a big part of my life and I'm always eager to share that love with others.
I have been a member of the American Mountain Guides Association since 2003. I am a Certified Rock Guide and Single Pitch Instructor Assistant Provider in addition to successfully completing the Alpine Guide and Ice Instructor Courses.
I guide rock, alpine and ice routes throughout Colorado, Utah and the western United States. Some of my favorite places to guide are the high alpine peaks of the Aspen area, the desert rock climbing areas of Moab and Grand Junction as well as ice climbing in western Colorado.
I am active with the American Safe Climbing Association and have rebolted hundreds of bolts and helped maintain dozens of routes in Colorado and Utah.
During the school year I teach rock and ice climbing, canyoneering and climbing self rescue courses for Colorado Mountain College. I also teach wilderness medicine for Desert Mountain Medicine throughout the year.

Fantastic trek. Mike is definitely and experienced and kind guide, thoughtful and attentive to potential risks. Great conversationalist and my family members actually found a mutual friend in common. Would definitely like to go on another hike with him!

Awesome! Mike was fabulous and would recommend him to anyone interested in doing the same. I would say that the process to get a reservation felt like it took a while - would've been nice if there was a FAQs to describe what to expect during the day of the trip. Also, a number to contact for more information rather than just chat would be great. Overall, loved it and would do it again.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
