Join one of the members of Climbasana on this rock climbing day at one of the typical multi-pitch routes in Montserrat Massif: the Esparraguera, in Roca Gris!
Located 35km northwest of the city of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Montserrat Massif offers beautiful and technical climbs. These blunted spires are part of the Catalan Pre-Coastal Range which has some of the best climbing spots in Spain.
Roca Gris (Spanish for “gray rock”) is a rocky spire in the southern face of Montserrat. On this program we will get to its summit through the stunning 5-pitch Esparraguera route.
This climbing line is long but quite simple. We will find a max of 5c difficulty at the third pitch. The last one is unprotected and assures you a fun climb using stoppers and cams.
So, if you are up for some multi-pitch rock climbing in Montserrat, please contact us! You will have the chance to improve your skills and feel like a professional climber!
We also offer yoga and climbing trips in the Costa Brava!
More info
You should bring trad gear. I will recommend a full set of Totemcams (blue to red), two stoppers (12 & 13) and two Kouba Permon (5 & 6). 60m rope.

This was my first trip to Spain, and climbing was not the primary purpose. My daughter and I are both experienced climbers, but not knowing the area I decided to look for a guide so that the one day we devoted to climbing on our short trip to the Barcelona area would be efficiently used. I had no idea how to find a legitimate on-line service through which to arrange this but in my research came across this company. Via the site I found a great local guide who gave us a wonderful day of adventurous fun, not just with the climbing but also by providing the history of the area.
