Rock Climbing Instructor

My name is Guillaume. I am a certified Rock Climbing Instructor in the Calanques, offering guided tours from Marseille to Cassis and everywhere in Provence.

I have been passionate about climbing since I was I child. I was initiated very early into climbing thanks to the mountain club of my hometown, Villemur sur Tarn, a small village in the south west of France. I had my first classes on the rock of Saint Antonin Noble Val, in the gorges of Aveyron.

During a trip with friends, I discovered Marseille and especially its national park. The beauty of the landscapes, the sun, the sea, and the endless number of climbing routes totally seduced me! After a year already planned in Quebec, I decided to validate my university degree in computer science. I applied to the last year of Computer Master at the Faculty of Luminy and moved to Marseille.

My passion for climbing became my profession a few years later, following a professional reconversion. More than 10 years later, I still live close to this beautiful area that is the Calanques and climbing in all its forms remains forever a passion.

Guillaume is an awesome climbing guide. He's super friendly, knowleagble, safety-conscious, and patient. He also chose a multi-pitch route that was very appropriate to my ability, but also the right level of challenge. I highly recommend Guillaume as a guide!

Sara

We had such a wonderful experience with Guillaume. He is very relaxed, comforting, professional and flexible. He adjusted the day according to our needs and wishes and he gave a lot. Add to this spending the day at a very beautiful location. We would love to climb with Guillaume again!

Sam

What a wonderful trip! It was more of a hike in than we expected, so pack your hiking boots rather than trainers. It was multi pitch which means you are on the move across the rock face so pack as light as possible with a comfortable backpack. Guillome was so nice and helpful. His English was perfect and didn’t mind helping me practice my French. My partner and I had an experience of a lifetime.
