When it comes to amazing rock climbing spots, you really can’t do much better than Lover’s Leap.
Located near Lake Tahoe, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Lover’s Leap is a paradise for rock climbers, especially those who enjoy multi-pitch routes. Most of the routes you can choose from range from 5.7 to 5.9. And while they may appear easy, some of them can be quite a challenge.
On the East Wall of Lover’s Leap, you can choose from the following routes.
Pop Bottle – 5.7, 3 pitches
East Corner – 5.10a or 5.11b, 3 pitches
Haystack Crack – 5.8, 3 pitches
Fantasia – 5.9, 5 pitches
East Crack – 5.8, 3 pitches
Bear’s Reach – 5.7, 3 pitches
East Wall – 5.6 or 5.7/5.8 finish, 3 pitches
The Line – 5.9, 3 pitches
If you would like to climb on the Main Wall/West Wall, you can choose from these excellent routes.
Lover’s Chimney – 5.6, 4 pitches
Book Mark – 5.8, 3 pitches
Eagle Buttress – 5.10a, 6 pitches
