Mountain biking day tours around Vail, CO

Mountain biking through the gorgeous and idyllic backcountry near Vail, Colorado is one of life’s great pleasures, and if you join me on this day tour of the area we will experience all it has to offer, from the wildly varying terrain, trails and roads that suit people of all abilities, to the truly stunning and tranquil scenery that will almost certainly leave you awe-struck.

Vail itself is a resort town located 100 miles West of Denver, Colorado, and is known around the country as an epic spot for indulging in outdoor activities, both in Winter and Summer. It also plays host to numerous festivals and events throughout the year, ensuring there is plenty to do at all times.

Our trip begins in the morning when we meet in Vail, and from there it is 4-6 hours of mountain biking fun, as we can choose from many of the popular tracks and trails in the Vail Valley, including Colorado Trail to Camp Hale, Vail Pass to Red Cliff, Colorado River Road and Red Sandstone area.

We will choose the paths based on your confidence and abilities, and we will more than happy to provide any tips on how to best enjoy the experience of mountain biking.

Some of the landscape and terrain we will be riding through is as pretty as one can imagine, with the lush green forests and fields giving way to the rough and rugged creeks and trails which snake around this former mining territory. There is even an opportunity to visit Camp Hale, a famous World War Two training site for mountain ski troops.

We will finish the mountain biking in the afternoon back in Vail, happy and content with our awesome day of exploration.
