Are you in the mood for an unforgettable climbing trip? Then join me on this great one to the top of Mt Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa!
We will spend 4 days inside this unique mountain range, enjoying the incredible views it offers to winter sports fans.
Winter is the best time to climb Mt Toubkal. The experience of standing in the snow at an extremely high altitude is the first amazing memory you’ll take with you. Moreover, from that same spot you will even get to see the vast Sahara Desert.
The trip lasts 4 days since you will need some time to get used to winter conditions. I will of course provide the necessary training to use crampons and ice axe.
Whether you have little rock climbing experience or are well acquainted with this sport, you’ll enjoy this expedition! It is perfectly suitable for first time winter mountaineering.
You just need to be in optimal physical condition to be able to walk in the mountains for four days. The good thing about winter ascents is that the snow helps to cover the tricky parts of the tracks.
If you are still unsure about your ability to take this trip, I offer an extra training day. During this coaching day, you will practice and apply your climbing skills so as to reach the Mt Toubkal summit successfully.
So, don’t think twice and come with me on this spectacular 4-day climbing trip to Mt Toubkal. You will have the chance to witness the magnificence of the Atlas Mountains, one of the world’s most fascinating mountain ranges. It will be a great pleasure to guide you on this unique rock climbing trip to North Africa. Contact me now!
We will walk from Imlil toward the Toubkal Massif pass through the Sidi Chamharouch shire. We will arrive at the first refuge at 3200m and spend the night there.
We will start ascending until we reach Tizi Ouagane. We will use this day to put into practice your rock climbing skills. You will have the possibility of reaching the summits of Ras and Temizguida at 4000m, depending on the weather conditions.
The most awaited day: we will make our winter ascent of Jebel Toubkal. Then, we will return to the refuge to spend the night.
We will descend back to Imlil for a late lunch. Once you finish, a taxi will be waiting to take you back to Marrakech.

Mountain Leader
I am a certified International Mountain Leader and a Summer Mountain Leader (UK). In addition, I hold a Diploma in Conservation and Wildlife Management.
Originally from Great Britain, I am now based near Marrakech, in Morocco. Actually, in a Berber town at the foot of the Berber Mountains.
The love for travel runs in my veins. In the Sahara I lived with nomads. In Siberia I met reindeer herders. In Mongolia I traveled with yurt-dwellers.
The stunning landscapes and nice people of Morocco have enchanted me, which is why I now live here. My goal is sharing with my clients the exotic beauty that I've discovered here.
The environment is of extreme importance to me. In particular, I'm interested in geology and birds of prey.
Besides speaking English and French, I can get by in Berber.
My work is not limited to this area: I also do the Tour du Mont Blanc trek in the Alps.

Amazing three days spent running in the Atlas Mountains with Marc, a highly professional and super friendly guide. We passed through Berber villages where we stopped off for tea and took in 35-30kms most days in amazing conditions. Can't wait for my next trip!
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
