Description

While not the mythical mountain from Greek Myth, Mount Olympus (2,751m) near Salt Lake City, Utah is nonetheless an amazing peak. And on this day long trek, you will get to hike for approximately 11 kilometers to the top of this great mountain.

In one of the great transitions from city to nature in the United States, this trek around Mount Olympus is unlike any other you’ve enjoyed. Starting on a busy street in Salt Lake City, after just a few minutes, and less than a kilometer, you will already begin making your way up the mountain.

You will be constantly be trekking on a steep terrain during this trip. In fact, you will experience an elevation gain of over 1,000 meters in just 7 kilometers. Finally, after some fun, but at times technical scrambling, you will reach the summit.

While this climb is not reserved for experts, it is advantageous if you have some prior climbing experience. Moreover, because this climb can be strenuous, you should be in good physical condition as well.
