Join us for an incredible day of ski mountaineering to the summit of Mount Columbia in Alberta, Canada!
Along the way, we will enjoy incredible views of the surrounding Canadian Rocky Mountains and the Columbia Ice Field as well as take advantage of excellent powder conditions and ski back down Alberta’s tallest mountain.
We start our 3-day trek by approaching the 3,750-meter-tall peak and climbing to our base camp, which sits right along the tree line. On the following day, we will make our way across the Columbia Ice Field and up Mount Columbia.
Then on the third day, we have the option of ski mountaineering to the top of either Mt Snowdome or Mt Kitchner before heading back down from base camp.
These last two day allow for plenty of top-quality skiing in excellent snow conditions and spectacular views of the astoundingly beautiful Canadian Rocky Mountains.
Ascents of Mt Snowdome and Mt Kitchner are excellent practice for returning to the region and attempting slightly longer ski travers, such as Mt Logan Kings Trench.
So what are you waiting for? Book now and enjoy an incredibly three-day expedition to the top of Mount Columbia in beautiful Alberta!
If you like the look of this trip then we think you will also enjoy our week of ski touring in the Canadian Rockies!
