Mount Arkansas, 1-day Winter Ascent, starting from Vail

There are a number of amazing peaks to climb throughout the Colorado Rocky Mountains, many of which are near Vail. Several of those peaks exceed a dizzying 4,000 meters. One of those peaks is Mount Arkansas. At 4,205 meters, the mountain is an amazing sight to behold. However, on this full day trip, you will not just be admiring the mountain, you will get to climb it as well!

Not only are the views you will get from the summit of Mount Arkansas unbelievable, but the views you will get to enjoy throughout the climb are absolutely stunning. You will get to see a number of great peaks. Some examples include Mount Democrat, Mount Buckskin and the Traver Peak. Furthermore, you will also get to see the South Gore range, along with the Mosquito, Sawatch and Elk peaks. Thus providing you with a tremendous opportunity to see why the Rockies are so majestic.

For the climb itself, while it is not exceedingly difficult, you should be in good physical condition. Past experience is a plus as well.
