This Mont Blanc off-piste skiing course is for skiers of an intermediate level who want to develop new skills. Let me take you to one of the best areas in the world to learn off-piste skiing.
Over the course of five days in the mountains, I will teach you several techniques in order to master off-piste skiing. Some of the skills you will learn involve training with avalanche receivers and other important aspects needed for safe and successful off-piste skiing.
Along with learning how to ski off-piste, you will also have the chance to see and admire the amazing scenery. There is an abundance of highlights in the Mont Blanc Massif. One of those highlights is the Italian resort town of Courmayeur, where the trip will start. You will get to see La Thuile, La Rosiere and the Grand Montets ski area. You will get to see the Argentiere glacier and Brevent-Flegere in Chamonix. And you will also get to see and experience the amazing Vallee Blanche as well.
There will be some challenges during this intensive week. But whether it is the glacier crevasses in Valle Blanche, or steep vertical intervals at the top station (3,300m) at the Grand Montets, you will be able to put the skills you've learned to good use. Thus making this trip a perfect combination of learning and doing.

Mountain Guide
I was born in 1966. I was an aspirant Mountain Guide from 1986 and a Mountain Guide (IFMGA) as from 1989. In 1988, I joined the Mountain Guides company of Courmayeur, which was the 1st Italian guiding company and the 2nd in the world in 1850. From 1995 to 2001, I had the role of leading guide with as main function the coordination of the work and the promotion of the guiding programs we were organising.
From 1986, I worked in the Mountain Rescue Team of the Aosta Valley. I became a Mountain Rescue Instructor in 2000. As a mountain guide, I practice a lot mountaineering, rock climbing, off-piste skiing, ski touring, snowshoeing, etc.
The past 22 years, I have climbed with my clients many classic routes in the Alps, of mixed, ice and rock; I have climbed the mountains of South America (Aconcagua in Argentina, Cordillera Blanca in Peru, trekking in Torres del Paine in Chile and Fitz Roy in Argentina, the slopes of Alpamayo Pequeno, Sajama, Huayna Potosi, in Illimani Bolivia, Cayambe, Cotopaxi, Chimborazo in Ecuador). Each year, I keep on travelling the Andes with clients and friends to discover new mountains to satisfy the desire of mountaineering.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
