On this 4-day hike and photo tour, we will immerse ourselves in the Chamonix-Mont Blanc valley and capture iconic locations through the lens, as we explore the limits of landscape photography.
You will be guided by mountain leader and photographer, Mirko Sotgiu, and Alberto Bregani, who is renowned for his mountain photography. They will not only guide the treks but also give you photography tips and help you capture the best shots in locations such as Mont Blanc, Lac Blanc, Bionassai, and other rugged landscapes such as ice fields, cliffs, valleys, and alpine passes.
You will learn:

-Composition and Lighting
-Location Selection
-Mountain Reportage Photography
In the evenings, we will spend the night in Chamonix, in an Alpine hotel that is included in the package. We have detailed a tentative itinerary below, but it will be subject to lighting and weather conditions. Keep in mind that the hikes will be easy, however, you will need to be fit. No special training or equipment is required. each day we will enjoy around 6 hours of activity with 2 photo sessions.

11:00 AM to 1:00 PM: We will meet and check in at the Hotel Rocky Pop
2:00 PM: Short Trek to Montenvers / Mer de Glace. We will leave on the Montenvers train station on a 40-minute trail to “Signal Forbes” and enjoy amazing views of Mer de Glace, Dru, Grand Charmoz, and a visit to the ice caves.
6:00 PM: We will return on the last train
8:00 PM: Dinner in Chamonix
We will take the cable car and Des Autannes chairlift (2,150m) to Col De Balme. From there, we will trek to Albert 1ére hut and to the Glacier du Tour (2,705m), we will take some photos and have lunch at the hut. If the weather permits, we will hike back via the Col De Balme hut, where we will stop for a snack, or return directly by chairlift/cable car to the car park.
The Aiguillette des Posettes is located east of the Chamonix valley and boasts impressive views of the massif, including of the Aiguilles Rouges, the Buet, the Glacier du Tour, the Albert 1er hut, and the Emosson dam.
We will take the Aiguille cable car to Plan de l’Aiguille, and then follow the coast to Signal Forbes, where we will enjoy stunning views of Mer De Glace. We will descend to the upper station of the Montenvers train (20 minutes) and then return by train.
Trekking backpack, well-worn hiking boots,appropriate mountain clothing suitable for bad weather, including a change of clothes. Regarding photographic equipment, prioritize versatility and lightweight options, such as a 24-70mm lens, a fixed lens, a wide-angle lens and a lightweight telephoto lens, and a compact carbon tripod.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area.
