Mont Blanc (4,808m) is the highest peak in the Alps and the entire Western Europe. This 2-day mountaineering trip is your chance to reach its summit via the Gouter Route with an expert mountain guide.
Mont Blanc, or “white mountain”, is surrounded by thundering glaciers and stunning alpine landscapes. Every year, climbing this mountain becomes an ultimate objective for mountaineers from all over the world. On this tour, we will take the Gouter route, which is on the French side and the most popular route to the Mont Blanc summit. It is a long and high altitude climb on the Northwest side of the peak that requires two days.
The Goûter Route is considered the easiest way to reach Mont Blanc’s summit. However, its high altitude and elevation gain requires a good physical and technical preparation. Prior acclimatization is key to success. And you’ll also need to have some mountaineering skills, such as walking in crampon and know how to use an ice axe and ropes.
The first day we will cross beautiful spots like Nid d’Aigle and Tete Rousse Glacier. We will sleep at the Gouter Hut, which offers unique views of the Bionnassay Ridge.
On the summit day, we will head up to Dôme du Goûter, the Vallot observatory and Arête des Bosses. Finally, we will reach the much awaited Mont Blanc summit. Once there, the feeling will be unforgettable. We will enjoy spectacular views of the spires and glaciers of the surrounding massif, the Matterhorn, the Weisshorn and the Gran Paradiso.
