If you are looking for great ski touring in the Julian Alps, join me for a day trip this season! This is the perfect program to get to know different spots on this mountain range. This tour can include areas in all three Slovenian, Austrian and Italian parts of this range.

For this program, you can choose between a 1-day tour, and a multi-day tour. Prices below are per day. I can adjust the itinerary so it meets your goals and expectations, as well as your experience and fitness levels.

The specific itinerary can vary between climbing to the top of a mountain and skiing our way down; and crossing different mountain areas and ascending and descending repeatedly; as well as mostly ski touring in the winter landscape.

For this moderate skiing level program, I will take groups of up to 4 skiers.

Regarding equipment, you will mainly need: ski touring boots, ski skins, poles, avalanche probe shovel and beacon, warm winter clothes, and your backpack. If you need it, I can help you rent your ski touring equipment.

Mountain Guide

I am an IFMGA mountain guide born in 1980 in Mojstrana, a Slovenian village close to Mount Triglav, the highest mountain in the country at 2864 m.

From an early age, my parents took me to the mountains during summer and winter. At that time, my father was part of a mountain rescue team in my hometown and was also going on expeditions to the Himalaya and the Andes, so he became a big inspiration for me. We went climbing, hiking, sport climbing and ski touring together. His enthusiasm truly influenced me.

I went to Alpine school, then Mountain rescue team, I did the Alpinist exam and I became an Alpinist instructor. After that, I also studied to be a professor of Sport. Several years later, I decided to begin my mountain guide education and to become an IFMGA/UIAGM certified mountain guide.

Our guide Stres Blaz was fantastic. He was very knowledgable about the mountain and was a strong guide that meant we could keep a good pace even with congestion on the mountain. I also had a small injury and he was very quick to support. Thank you for everything!

A fantastic trip, with an extremely professional mountain guide. Made us feel very welcome in his back yard, with excellent attention to both safety and enjoyment.
