Description

The Matterhorn (4478m) is one of the highest summits in Europe. And one of the most emblematic in the world, that's for sure!

Its ascent can be challenging, but I propose here a full week of preparation, ascending other peaks in the area. In this way you will maximize your chances of success for the last day.

My plan is to teach you during the week all the skills you need to summit Matterhorn, and put them in practice throughout the program.

In my opinion, this is the best option if you don't have much mountaineering experience. But you still have to be in good shape!

Once you reach the top of this famous mountain, you will understand why it is so coveted among mountaineers. The feeling up there is amazing!

During the program we will climb the Riffelhorn, the Breithorn, the Pollux and more. In addition, on one of the days we'll get the chance to do some via ferrata.

Interested in this approach to climb Matterhorn? It's also a great opportunity to get to know the area! Please contact me, I will be waiting for your message. And if you don't have so much time available, I also guide other ascents, including the Breithorn and Pollux 2-day guided ascent.

Peter

This was a great trip and Explore Share made finding the right trip super easy. Our guide was personable, extremely knowledgeable, and experienced and willing to teach us the skills we would have needed to climb the Matterhorn. Unfortunatly, the conditions were not right to climb so our guide recemmended another trip which was still a great experience and lots of fun.

Emma

Very user friendly platform with timely responses from Explore Share representatives. The trip itself with Tom from Alps Adventures was awesome and ensure that we had an experience that was 100% what we wanted. Recommend both the platform and the guide. Thanks to all for arranging and delivering so well.

I had am amazing time during the 1-day off-piste training course at Hoch-Ybrig. Urs, our main mountain guide, was very helpful in answering my queries before the course, and Lupe from explore-share was helpful in selecting the course. We had 3 groups under Urs, Mario and Patrick, and I was in the group with Patrick. He gave us a lot of nice tips and individualized video analysis. He made a special effort to convey everything in English, since I don't know German. All the participants were very helpful and friendly too! The course is good value for money as skis are included for the weekend in the course price.
