Description

With 17270 ft or 5323 mts, the Maipo Volcano is one of the best spots in the Central Andes for non-technical climbing.

Surrounded by incredible landscapes in this State Reserve, you can enjoy the company of local wildlife throughout the journey like guanacos, condors and other migratory birds.

The State Reserve of Laguna del Diamante is home of the lagoon that gives its name and the Maipo Volcano. The Diamante lagoon is fed by the Diamante river and houses wild trouts and sand smelt fish. Its still waters provides a perfect reflection of the volcano.

The Maipo is placed on the high Andes at the fronteer with Chile in the province of Mendoza. The volcano is in a temporary passive state. Its mixed soil with rocks, sand, ice and snow makes it an amazing adventure for climbers.
