Tatras
1/2 Day
Jun, Aug - Oct
I am pleased to invite you to a half-day climbing trip to the Lomnicky Peak. I will guide you through its normal and little technical route. In that way, you can live a real mountaineering experience without having to be an expert climber.
Lomnicky Peak is very famous because it’s the second highest summit of the High Tatras mountain range, on the border between Slovakia and Poland. Thanks to its chair lifts, the climbing up to this peak is really easy and accessible. Furthermore, this route is also equipped with chains and hooks in its upper sections, guaranteeing the safest experience.
Once at the top of this great mountain, you won’t believe such amazing viewpoint. The scenery includes the views of Gerlach and Tatry as well as other amazing peaks of the region. Moreover, at that altitude you can also enjoy a nice hot coffee or tea and a warm accommodation to rest. Finally, we will descend by the cable car.
The total expedition up to the Lomnicky Peak and down will take us about 5 hours. Therefore, in order to take the best from this climb you must have a good physical shape. In addition, you will also need some previous mountaineering background.
Although we’ll ascend to the Lomnicky by its normal route, there are other alternatives to reach the summit. Among them, you can choose the Jordanian route or the Tatarkova via ferrata route. There is also a winter ascent by the normal one but it’s technically more demanding. If you want to know more about these options, please do not hesitate to contact me.
So, if you are planning to come to Slovakia in the next months I will be running this trip from June to October. Contact me as soon as you can so that we can discuss about your expectations and wishes. I’ll be waiting you message!

Mountain Guide
I was born in Poprad and I live, work and relax in the High Tatras. I have been climbing in this region for 15 years both in summer and winter.
Since 2001 I am a professional rescuer with a completed Bachelor education in Urgent Medical Care. Furthermore, I work in The Experts Mountain Rescue Service (in High Tatras) as an avalanche specialist.
In 2009, after passing the entrance examination for mountain guiding, I started the roundabout course. In April 2010, I became a mountain guide aspirant in the National Association of Mountain Guides of the Slovak Republic.
In 2011, during the final course in Chamonix - Mont Blanc (France) I successfully completed the course of mountain guide during four days of tests, under the strict supervision of Technical Commission NAHVSR instructors. Since then, I am a mountain guide with the IFMGA / UIAGM international license.
Thanks to this job (and hobby) I am pleased to expand the horizons of my clients and share with them my knowledge and experience as a mountain guide.

We spent 2 days with Pavol as he introduced us to ice climbing. Upon meeting him, we were pleased with his professionalism and his impressive experiences climbing around the world. It didn't take long for us to realise his expertise on the mountain, as well as his passion and down to earth attitude. Over 2 days, in 2 different locations, we got learn the basics of ice climbing on some serious ice falls. He gave us advice on techniques and strategies to get us climbing higher and more efficiently. The whole time Pavol made us feel very safe and in control, as daunting as ice climbing may be. In the end we had a great time and learnt a lot, and he left us hungry for more. He definitely showed us this is a sport and passion we can keep following. We hope to climb with Pavol again next time we visit Europe.
