Highlights

  • Climb Slovakia’s second highest peak: Lomnický Peak.
  • Uncover some of the most fantastic sceneries in the country.
  • Live a magical mountaineering trip with an experienced guide.

Description

While not the highest mountain in Slovakia, the second highest peak in the country, Lomnicky (2,632m) is still a fantastic climb. And, during this trip, you can do the ascent and descent in a full day. Thus giving you plenty of time to do much more either before or after the climb. And trust me when I tell you, in the High Tatras of Slovakia, where Lomnicky is located, there is plenty to do, see, explore and enjoy.

This trip is open to people of varying climbing skill levels. The reason being, there are different routes you can take both up and down the Lomnicky peak. For example, for more experienced climbers, you can challenge yourself on Jordan’s route from Terry’s Cottage.

Regardless of which route you choose to scale this great Slovakian peak, you can rest assured that the views you will get to enjoy from the summit are extravagant. You will get to see several of the High Tatras’ most famous peaks, including the highest peak in Slovakia: Gerlach. You will also get to marvel at the vast landscape below, including several beautiful valleys, rivers, forests and more.

To participate on this trip, it is important that you are in good physical condition. Prior climbing experience is important as well, particularly if you wish to try the more challenging routes.

Ascending and descending Lomnicky in the High Tatras of Slovakia is an incredible experience. And because it only takes a single day, it is an experience you can easily include in a larger itinerary that will enable you to enjoy more of the Tatras’ great, natural area. To join me on this trip, just send a request.

I can also take you on a climbing trip to the summit of Gerlach on this full day trip.

What people are saying about Robert

Mattias

Very nice climb of Gerlach with guide Robert Vrlak in early November. Convenient arrangement for this 1-day climb with Robert picking up at the local hotel and a short drive to the trailhead. Beautiful scenery and a fairly straightforward route with mostly trekking and scrambling but full winter conditions at higher elevations made this climb extra fun and a little more challenging than expected. Would greatly recommend it!

Akos

Great place, pro guiding, nice experience.

Ander

Robert is a really good guide. Nice and knowledgeable. The weather was not good for our climbs. However he managed to come up with alternative plans, as Ice climbing, or climbing peaks which were save to climb in those weather conditions. Plus he is very good at taking pictures.

Geert

Great service, great guides, great trip. worth all the money. Thank you!😀

Nico

Robert Vrlak was an amazing guide which we highly recommend to everyone! Stays at your own pace, explains in full detail about the plan, routes, etc, complimented with extreme knowledge about the surroundings of the area you are in. I look forward to have him as our guide in the near future, thank you Robert!
