I invite you in this occasion ski touring in a truly beautiful environment. Lofoten is an archipelago in Norway with dramatic landscapes. Indeed, here the mountains meet the sea in a unique setting.
This stunning arctic coast is right next to mountains where we can ski. In March the snow gets to the coast, making it possible to ski all the way down there. We will enjoy not only the beautiful scenery, but also the high quality snow for ski touring.
Our base during the tour is Sortland. It’s a rather unknown town in the Lofoten Islands. Every day, leaving from our lodge we can ski on the main Islands. But we can also go to ski touring in the beautiful nearby area of Vesteralen. In fact, this other region has an incredible offer of ski touring itineraries. And in this case, we can also ski down to the ocean, and to the coast of the fjords.
Next departure: March 4th to Match 11th 2018.
The peaks where we ski are only about 600-800m high. But the ski touring quality is outstanding since by skiing down to the sea level we have innumerable possible slopes to combine. In total we have around 1000-1200 (1500 maximum) vertical meters touring per day.
Did you find this proposal interesting? Then please get in touch with me for more information! I would love to guide you in this magic white land.
We meet at Sortland and transfer to our accommodation. Our base will be cosy seaside houses, just out of town.
Each day we go for a new ski touring adventure, leaving from out lodge. We will spend this day in the Lofoten range and the Vesteralen range.
Transfer to the airport bus to Sortland.
