Description

On this exciting lead climbing course in Kalymnos, you will spend a week advancing your skills and putting them to practice in an idyllic setting.

The course includes the following:

5 climbing days with full instruction
Lead climbing and lead belaying techniques and practice
Building confidence
Technique improvement
Outdoor climbing experience
Outdoor climbing safety skills
Becoming an autonomous climber

The entire climbing course is 5 days long, however, there is 1 rest day in between and a day for arrival and departure calculated into the schedule. You can review a detailed day-by-day itinerary below.

In terms of experience and training, no outdoor or lead climbing experience is required. You will need a good fitness level.

Price includes 5 full instructed climbing days, all climbing gears and all information you need to organize your stay on Kalymnos.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

You will arrive at Kos or Kalymnos airport.

Day 2: Odyssea- Climbing skills evaluation and warm up

Safety and climbing skills evaluation and development, practice on stalactites!
Group dinner at a local shepherd’s restaurant under Grande Grotta or at the local fisherman’s restaurant.

Day 3: Poets/Kalydna

Learn and train efficient climbing techniques and skills including balance and footwork, and build confidence as you enjoy climbing with a view!

Day 4: Telendos

Continue developing your climbing skills and enjoy practicing above the sea!

Day 5: Rest day

Options include kayaking, scuba diving, some beach fun, and more!

Day 6: Arginonta

Discover the red rocks of Arginonta and enjoy the contrast with the blue/turquoise sea below as you continue to train and build your confidence.

Day 7: Grande Grotta

End your climbing week by practicing near Grande Grotta, a rock climbing emblem in Kalymnos!

Rock Climbing Instructor

After nearly 10 years of mountaineering in Chamonix, I decided to dedicate myself to rock climbing.

In 2005, after one year intensive training, he got the french national sport’s instructor certificate for rock climbing (BEES escalade).

I have been exploring the crags of France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Canada and China. I finally decided to set up his climbing school in the island of Kalymnos (Greece). The beautiful landscapes, the endless sunshine and the vast climbing potential of the island convinced me to settle here from my first visit.

Since then, climbers from all over the world came to share his passion and to take avantage of his experience to improve their rock climbing skills. I have opened many new routes both in Kalymnos and Telendos from 4 to 9a. I climb 8a on-sight and red-point up to 8c. I did most of the routes of the island and always has new projects to red point!
