Le Hohneck (Hautes Vosges) guided snowshoeing day tour

During the winter, the Hautes Vosges are a prime destination for snowshoeing. Spending a day traversing the open land and the forests with our snowshoes on is a great chance of pace to get in touch with nature. Join me for a day in the Hohneck!

The Hohneck is the third highest summit of the Vosges massif. It reaches 1363 meters and dominates the line of ridges that separates Alsace from Lorraine. It is the culminant point of the Vosges department.

From the Hohneck, we will overlook the plain of Alsace and the Lorraine plateau. We will also get to see the Black Forest and, if the weather is clear, we will even distinguish the Alps.

During the day we will walk 9 kilometers and ascend a total of 400 meters. We will enjoy lunch at a lodge, where we will also take some time to rest.

We will be in the area of La Bresse Hohneck ski resort, so you can think of combining your snowshoeing day with some skiing.
