Description

The hike to Laguna Torre is a classic and a must-do on your trip to Patagonia. Come with me and I’ll show you the way.

Although we’ll be hiking for around seven hours and cover 10 km on this trip, you won’t really notice because the surrounding landscape is so captivating.

We’ll start by hiking through the Bosque Andino Patagónico, a kind of forest native to this area. This is really enjoyable and the hike is not difficult at all. As we hike further the landscape will change and we’ll start to see how glaciers have carved out the rock over time.

Along the way, I will point out different things in nature and share my knowledge about the area and the ecosystem. If you have any questions I will be happy to answer them.

After a little while, we’ll arrive at the glacier lake that lies in front of Cerro Torre. We’ll take some time here to appreciate the spectacular natural beauty of the lake and mountains. You’ll be able to get as many photos as you want before we continue hiking back to El Chaltén.

This is an unbeatable day out of hiking. Request to book now and get one step closer to these beautiful lakes and mountains.

While you’re in Patagonia, you should check out as many hikes as possible. Take a look at my day hike to the Laguna de Los Tres which to get inspired!

Alpine Guide

I moved to El Calafate in 2001 and very soon I started practicing mountain activities, including rock climbing, skiing, hiking and trekking. In 2007, I began to work in the mountains as an assistant guide in Perito Moreno.

I finished my trekking guide course in 2011 and then, in 2015, I completed the following course to become a Mountain Guide.

I manage Zetatrek, a guiding company offering hiking and trekking trips in El Chaltén and Los Glaciares National Park. I work together with a group of guides, so if I'm not available to guide you, one of my colleagues will do it. All the guides in the team are professionally certified, and hold the required permits to guide.
