The Kokanee Glacier park is not as well known as other parks in British Columbia. However, it is definitely a park well worth visiting. Hence why I am excited to offer this 7 day ski touring adventure.
Full of beautiful scenery, the Kokanee Glacier park is a true wonder. And throughout this ski touring adventure you will have every opportunity to enjoy its fantastic ascents and descents. And when it comes to great views, this park will provide you with enough gorgeous images to last a lifetime.
The trip will begin with a scenic helicopter ride from Nelson to the park's boundary. Once there, we will venture through the park over the course of 7 glorious days. A few examples of where you will get to explore throughout the trip include the Kokanee glacier, the Woodbury glacier, the Silver Spray Basin and the Cariboo Ridge.
Meanwhile, every night, we will be sleeping in various campsites. Thus giving you the chance to enjoy the natural surroundings in the evening as well.
Since this trip involves some challenging aspects, it is important that participants have some previous backcountry and overnight ski touring experience. You should also have some winter camping and advanced level downhill skiing experience as well. Finally, you should also be in good physical condition, as the physical demands of this trip are fairly high.
Are you looking for a winter adventure in a beautiful and not too crowded place? Then send me a request, and let me guide for 7 wonderful days in the Kokanee Glacier park.
I can also lead you on this 3 day ski touring adventure in the Bonnington range, which includes a helicopter ride as well.
